BASIX® & NatHERS If I can harp on about one thing I guess – this is it. The NCC will see big changes to BASIX® and NatHERS with the release of the 7-star rating system, which will kick in in October. (As a rough guide the moment we output an average of about a 5 star or so maybe 5.5 to 5.2) As a result of these code changes, we are likely to see a downturn in clients going from the initial project to the build stage: due to the increased costs of construction that will come from the requirement for better designed homes (orientation) more insulation and double-glazed windows!!
